DELUDED FRENCH EMIGRANTS.
Lt Temps publishes to-day extraordinary revelations of attempts to colonise the New Hebrides. French emigrants complain bitterly at the deception practised to induce them to leave France, and said that the glowing accounts published by the Colonisation Society as to the facilities offering for a livelihood are false, and that they were practically slaves. They have petitioned to return to France immediately. The climate is said to be terribly unhealthy. Already half the emigrants have perished from fever or other causes.
