The eg* harvest has commenced early this seasou at the fish ponds belonging to the Wellington Acclimatisation Society. Already upwards of 40,00 ova have been taken from 35 Amerioan brook ohar, and the brown and Looh Leven trout are showing signß of spawning. A large take of ova is expeotod this season.
