RIOTS AT TORONTO.
Ottawa, May 18. Serious disturbances took place at Toronto to-night. When Mr W. O'Biien, the Irish Nationalist leader, was attempting to address an open-air meeting, he was stoned by the mob, and compelled to fly for his life. He succeeded m escaping through the crowd, who smashed the window of a shop m which it was believed that he had taken refuge. It is feared the rioting' will be continued to-morrow.
