COBDEN CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Cobden Club was held last evening, when Lord Morley presided. Sir Saul Samuel, Sir 3 Graham Berry, Sir R. Wisdom, Sir J. 3 F. Garrick, and Mr Dodds were present. Lord Morley ridiculed Sit t Samuel Griffith's preferential duties 7 scheme, and also expressed the opinion a that the establishment et a Zollverein 3 of the empire at an early date was not 3 within the bounds of practical politics, i and incapable of realisation. Sir Saul ) Samuel advocated freetrade between the colonies, and emphasised the ver- , diet of the recent election of New i South Wales m its favor.
