PARISHIONERS MEETING
The annual meeting of the Ohnroh offioera and members of the Paroobial Board of the Longbeach District was held at the Aroade Chambers tin Tuesday afternoon. Present — Rev R. F, Garbett (m the ohalr), Messrs B. Q. Wright, 0. T, Dudley, J. Heseltlne, Smith, Shilllto, Bell, Smith and Wilson. The Rev Chairman notified the appointment by the BUhop of vestrymen as follows :— Tinwald— Mr Oharlea Thornton Dadley (warden). Vestry — Mobbm Heseltine, Tippet, Oorrlgan, Jeff, Smith, Gudaell, Shilllto, Mar la and Lowe. - Waterton — Mr John Grlgg (warden). Vestry — Messta Smith, Oowtvn, Dawson, Soal, Bell, Wilson and Bleo, Windermere— Mr E. G. Wright (warden). Vestry — Messrs Elliott and Norrish. It transpired at the meeting that the overdraft at the bank had been reduced to £124 7s sd, and that it would be further reduced to about £70 as soon as the outstanding subscriptions were paid. . The Rev Chairman stated that the Weaterfiold subscriptions, amounting to £26, had been forwarded to the Treasurer of the Ulooese, and had been returned to him. He also Btated that be had he'd two services at Weßterfield during the current year. The balance-sheet was then presented and adopted, and ordered to be printed after audit. The Chairman stated that no grant had been reoeived from the Stipend Aid Fund although the Venerable Archdeacon Lin> gard had made speoial and very earnest effoits to obtain one. On the motion of Mr- Smith, "seconded by Mr Bell, it was resolved that the clergyman's stipend be guaranteed at the same amount as last year. It was also resolved that £5 of the amount outstanding en the Bazaar Fund should be granted to the Ladieß* Woiking Society, Votes of thank 8 were unanimously passed to the lay readers; to Mrs Standish and Miss Bull, of Waterton; to MUs Oowper and Mrs Tippett, of Tinwald ; and to Mrs Garbett and Mrs Wright, of Windermere, for their kind and efficient services as organists at the different churches of tho district, also to all the contributors to the gift auction.
