TEA MEETING AT GREENSTREET.
[communicated ] A pnblio tea meeting, m the interests of tho Wesleyan Ohurob, was held In the Greenstreet Schoolroom on Thursday last. A considerable number of visitors from Ashburton and the surrounding places Attended, all of whom appeared to enjoy the meeting. Tables were provided by Mesdames Good, James and William Bland, Church and Annett, and m quantity and quality left nothing to be desired. The Rev Mr McNiooll presided at the meeting after the tea, and was supported by Messrs Good, H. M. Jones, G. W. Andrews, and Captain Field of the Salvation Army, who all gave addresses. One special feature of the meeting was that the choir (a part of the Ashburton Wesleyan ohoir) Bang & number of the Jubilee Songs, made famous by the recent visit of the Flak Jubilee Singers. The usual votes of thanks lo the ladies, the speakers and the Singers (Including Mr Hales, who lent his Amerioan organ for the oooasion) brought the meeting to a dose?
