Wheat — A few saleß for delivery from the country district have taken place at*, for Tuscan, 3i s£d ; Pearl, 3j 5d ; Hunter's, 3b 4£d; while ex Btore parcels command a alight advance. Chickwheat is very soarce, and any offering meet with ready Bale at 2a 81 to 2s lid. Oats — An enquiry haß been made for prime milling, which are rather scarce . Sbort feed (heavy) are offering plentifully at la 9d ; Danish and inferior feed are selling at Is 7d to Is 3d ; Duos and Tartars for seed are wanted. Barley. — Maltsters are anxious to boy prime samples, and prices rule at 3s 6d to 3s 9J; medium at 33 to 3s 3d; feed, 2s 4d. Bka* s and Peas — The former commands 33, and feed peas at 2i 9.1 to 2a lid; Prussian Blues are dull at 3; to 3s 3J. Grass Seed — This market shows ro signs of improvement, and values remain at lant week's quotations. Potatoes — We can reprrt no Improve ment m prices, nor n-o the buyers active m operating, and lust week's quotation! of 27s to 28a at country stations arc difficult to obtain. Klein 9ys are rathei scarce at £2 5a to £2 10a. Dairy Produce. — Thin market is Vbrj slows. Dealora are disinclined to purchase beyond absolute orders, whicr are blow m coming to hand. Prime batter ia 01 to 7d. Cheese, loaf shape 5i to s£d; other sizes, 4d to 6d. The above prices are those paid to far mers and for delivery f.o.b. Lyttelton sacks extra.
