* . Auckland, May 6. • Archbishop Redwood arrived m Manufcau by the Gairloch from Waltara today. Hla Grace was accompanied by Father Kirk, of Waitara. The Archbishop is tho guest of Bishop Luck, of Auckland, who showed him round tbe city and suburb. Dr Redwood waß particularly Interested m tho fine organ at St Patrick's Cathedral, Father Egan playing a selection. The Archbishop will preach at the laying of the foundation Btcne of the new Onehunga Oharch on Sunday. Larkins and O'Brien have completed the contract for tbe construction of the Thames Valley Railway to Kikutal, The District Engiueer will visit the work m a day or two for the purpose of taking it over. The Earl and Countess of Aberdeen leave for the Hot Lakes to-morrow. After a stay there it le probable they wlli go to Wellington, but it ia nncerfaln whether they will proceed further South. Wellington. May 6. At the Waitakl Enquiry to day the evidence was principally that of experts to show that strong currents existed m the vicinity of tho wreck under certain conditions. The case was adjourned till to-morrow
