SERIOUS DISTURBANCE IN CRETE.
London, May 1. News bas been received from the Island of Crete that serious disturbances have occurred between the Christian and Mahommedan population, owing to the abduction of a Christian girl by the Turks. In the righting which has taken place several persons have been killed on both sides.
