TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — You will oblige me by publishing the appended copy of my reply to Mr Ivess' letter of the 25th ult.— Yours truly, Edward G. Wright. Windermere, 30th April, 1887. Joseph Ivess, Esq. Dear Sir,— Owing to my absence from home yours of tho 25th was some days reaching me. As you have given notice of a motion for a new trial m the case of Ivess versus Kerr, it would be manifestly improper for such an investigation as that proposed by you to take plaoe at this particular juncture, seeing that it would, to some extent, be an interference with the functions of the Court. I regret that you did not assist m bringing about Buch an enquiry two years ago, before legal proceedings had been taken, and when the matters m dispute were fresh m people's minds. — Yours faithfully, Edward G. Wright.
