HORSE MARKET.

Mr T. Bullock reports for the week ending Saturday, 30th April. 88 horses were brought forward for the day's sale. There was about an average attendance of farmers and other country settlers, but biddings were not so keen as at previous naleu. Nevertheless, a large proportion of the entry changed hands at slightly lower prices. Amongst them were a larger number of medium draughts than usual. A pair of greys, draughts, 4 and 6 years old of rather a superior stamp, brocght£s6. The unbroken colts end fillies offered from the Coldstream station were not of such a good stamp as those sold at former sales, and lower prices had to be accepted. Out of the total entry of 38, 27 were sold' as follows, viz. : — Unbroken colts and fillies from the Coldatream Station brought £14 10s, £14 10s, £15, £17 ss ; medium draughts, 4 year-olds, £17 15s, £19 10s, £21 sb, £22 ; do of rather a lighter decription, on account of Mr Withel, £15 10s, £15 10a ; a pair of 4 and 5 year-olds, superior, on account of Mr McKendry, £56 ; 6-year-olds, £18, £20 10s ; aged, of a fairly good stamp, £11, £12, £13 sb, £15 10s ; light harness horses, £7 10s, £8, £8 5s up to £12 5s ; inferior, £4 10a to £5 ss ; hacks, £4 10s to £5. Sundries, harness, etc., at full rates.
