BANK OF NEW ZEALAND
Auckland, April 28. The half-yearly mooting of the Bank of New Zealand was held to-day, Dr Campbell m tho chair. The report showed the profit for the half-year ended March 31, amounted to £77,064 19a 3d. A dividend at tho rate of 12£ per cent was declared. The Chairman regretted that dnring the half-year there had been no bnoyancy m baiines*, and said for the first time the Directors were obliged to intimate that appropriations had been made from the reserve fund to meet exceptional 10b36b, £125,000 having been transferred to bad and doubtful debts and suspense acoount. The report and balance-aheot were adopted,
