CONCEALMENT OF BIRTH.
Chbistohukoh. April 25 Martha Jane Blyth, the young woman who 6 years ago eloped with Matthew Henderson, who committed Buioide m Wellington, was , charged at the Police Court this morning , with concealment of birth. She lived alone, , and last Thursday told a little girl who Borne- , times attended her to make a large fire m the kitchen. She then sent the child away, , ; telling her to return m an hour. After j ooming baok the girl went to attend to the fire ( and found the body of a ohild burning. Her , father informed the police m the evening. Deteotivei Neil and O'Connor found bones m ', the grate which Dr. Symes pronounced as ! those of a ohild, but he had not examined them carefully enough to say of what age. [ The aooused denied having been confined. She was commit ed for trial.
