TINWALD BAZAAR

\ A Bazaar, m aid of the funds of tho parochial district of Longbeach, was opened m Mr Gates' shed at Tinwald to-day The shed was decorated for tho occasion with flags ancl flowerß aud ever greens, aud this, with tho nicely -arranged stalls of fancy articles, gave the building a very pleasing appearance The ladies who had charge of stalls, and tho Rev Mr I Garnet., with the officers and many of ! the members of the Church, worked hard, and tho success which attended their efforts is highly creditable to them. Tho following ladies had charge of the varioua stalls : — Mesdames Clark, Scott, Tippetts, Dudley, Carter, Garbett, and Standish, and Misses Carter, Cowper, and Wright, assisted by several othors The array of fancy articles was a very fine one, and there woie refreshments m abundance at a moderate prico A large quantity of farm and dairy produce was contributed by people m tho district, the gifts not beiog confined to members of t,ny particular denomination, • Theae contributions were to have been sold by Mr Pullock this afternoon and the proceeds should augment to a substantial degree the fund for which tho Bazaar was pro jected. If the articles are not all disposed of this evening, the sale will, we understand, be continued to-morrow.
