THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE

London, April 5. The second meeting of the Imperial Conference took place at the Colonial Office to-day. It lasted two hours and a half. The question of the naval defences of the Australasian Colonies was thoroughly discussed. Each of the Australasian delegates stated his views on the subject, and it was found that a wide difference of opinion existed. N o resolutions were taken.
