Coster occupied the chair. — Mr John Holmes, M.H.R., was also on tho platform. Mr Ivtaa was received with applause and likened to throughout with attention. The reply to questions, Mr Tress said he was unaware that any member of the House had miaoooduoted himself at Belt* amys, and he thought Mr Scotland's remarks were uncalled for. — He was m favor of leaving tbe question of holding irique ta in the hands of the pollot and tho J .micas, and he was m favor of doing away with Coroner's juries.- — The MagUtrateß reoelv«a good salaries, and should not be paid for holding inquest!.— He was m favor of tbe holder of an acre section being allowed to take ap larger ' holdings under the leasing system.— H« wa.s m favor of Goverumoat giving loans for Irrigation purposes — He did not think mbnuera of tbe Houoo abuaed the privileges of holding a free railway pass. On the m tion of Mr Hardy, seconded by Mr J. Holmes, a vote of thanks and oonhdunoj was passed to Mr Ivess. A vote of thanks to the oh&ir ermiaated the proceeedinga.
