Staveley (for New Zealand Loan and Meroautile Agenoy Company, Limited) reports on Aah burton sale, 29th intst:— There were large entries of atook, including ab^ufc 12,000 Bheep, mostly stores, rery few fat sheep coming forward The market was quiet, with no altnration m va'ueu. Ordinary fat cow* made £4 15<>; good quality, £5 12a Od to £6 2a 6.1 ; fat twot'Oth oroeabreds, 53 51 W^ sold cull croeabred ewea for Mr John Williams, 1- 93 ; others with more oonditlon making 2« and Us 6*. For same owner we placed oull merino ewei, la Id ; otJie s bringing 9d opurarda. A Urge proportion of the entry onslsted of cmebred weaners, the best of which brought 3i 6i, 4a, and 4s sd.
