LONDON SOCIALISTS.

The London correspondent cf tho Belf«it "Newsletter" writes as follows (under date January 24th) concerning the conduct of the Socialists : The London Socialists are being allowed a good deal of rope of late. They have for several weeks past invaded nnmoroua places of worship m the metropolis for the pirpuse of cheering or groaning tho sormons delivered. Under the Act of Parliament 'Whioh makes brawling In churoh a frravw offence, they ought to hivo been paniihed, but no doubt those ministers who feh the ohurch m which they preached desecrated, and themselves intuited through tha violence and vulgarity of th« Socialists, deemed it best to overlook the outrages. Referring to a recent "lohurob parade" of the Socialists m Marylebone tbe local paper remarked— " We understand that the main reason for such a strong show of police on the ocoasion, arose out of the außpioion that tbe valuable communion plate of the parish ohuroh was i ■ danger.' Tncenaod at tbe undisguised imputation of motive, acraa rf the Socialists to day, headed by -the now notorious John Williams, marched upon tha offioa of the journal. The police, hearing of the intlmidatory visit, were m strong forco m and about the office of the (.Sending newspaper when Mr Williams, and somn of his misguided friends puD i' an ■ppennnoe and interviewed the editori who appeared equal to the unusua position fa whioh he foand himself. He quietly Informed the Socialists that he wa* willing to iuiert " a correction " if It wers put m writing. Then the procession of Socialists, who had felt their reputations ud justly assailed, marched off. This is a sample of what might be Axpeoted to happen m a country which boasts of a free Press, (f the rabble from whioh the Socialists are reorulted had their way. Many think that it is time the Socialist nnisauce was grappled with onoa for all.
