A large buftinefls m the grain market has been covered during the week ; and we are pleased to note that the later threshed parcels are coming to hand m much better condition. Tuscan wheat and short heavy oats are being largely shipped to London ; winter wheats are chiefly stored and taken for interprovincial orders. Several lines of barley have been taken for shipment to Australia Wheat — All lines coming forward m shipping condition are quickly taken up at quotations. Tuscan is mostly sought after, and consequently commands from Id to Hd above the winter eorts. Prime, plump "Pearl is also readily placed for shipment. Tuscan we quote at 3s 4£d to 3s 5d ; Pearl, 3s 4d ; Hunter's white, 3s 3d to 33 4d ; second quality, 3s to 3s 2d, is not so Baleable as the higher classes. Chicken wheat is scarce; holders are hanging back, and m the meantime buyer* are having to give the extreme prices of 2s 91 to 2s lid. Oats — This market has been consider* ably relieved by sales being made for shipment to London, but although sellers have got the extreme value the rejections on account of condition have been very heavy. Long and inferior descriptions are selling at Is 7d to Is 8d; Barley — Maltsters are becoming mor« anxious to do business, the Blenheim prices preventing business being done m that direction, Prime malting is worth 3d 3d to 3s 6d ; second quality, 2s 9d to 3d ; and feed is scaroe at 2s 3d to 2s 4d. Rye Grass— The market is without quotable change. Cocksfoot — Several large sales have taken place at 3£d for good heavy seed, while an extra heavy parcel would command 3|d. Beans and Peas— The market is quiet at last quotations. Dairy Produce— -The inquiry for better is limited at 5d to Gd for prime makes. Cheese has an ordinary inquiry at 4d to s£d.
