In 1509 threo Roman soldiers, In the dress of their country, fully equipped with anno, were dug out of a peat mono near Aberdeen. They were quite fresh and plump after a lapse of about 1500 years. In 1717 the bodies of Ltdy Kilsyth and her infant wero embalmed. In 1796 they were found as perfect as m the hour thoy were embalmed. Every feature and limb was full. The infant's features wero as composed as if he had only been asleep for 80 years. Ills colour was as freoh and his flesh ac plump and full as m the, perfeot glow of health. The smile of infanoy and Innoounoy was on his lips. At a little distance it was difficult to distinguish whether Lady Kihyth was alive or dead The question is, what preservative wan used, and how applii d ?
