RESOLUTIONS OF THE MAORI MEETING.
. The following copy of resolutions unaraioously passed at the great Native meet ing at Waitangl (North Island) has been forwarded to the Government : — (1) We hereby appoint King! Horl Korai to succeed Hore Ehngi Piks, deceased,, bo President of tho Treaty of Waitaogl. (2) The Treaty of Waitangi must be preserved intact, aa we regard auoh treaty to ba oar only monns of retaining our rights as forraorly demanded by our an* oestors m a letter by them to George the 4th. King of England, datod 20. h October. 1825. (3) All the Native Land Court Acts and tho Native Administration Act 188G, ahoald be repealed, and a now law be made under the provision of the 71st olauae of the New Zealand Constitution Aot, 1853. (4) All Native transaction, whether passed formerly or hereafter, should come under this jurisdiction. \ll Native lands la the Northern Electoral Distriot to be dealt with under the provisions of tho Treaty of Waitaogi. (5) The propositions of the above resolutions are opan for adoption by the Natives In any district of New Zealand. (G) That Haka Hakueue be requested to move during next session that tho Maori Representation Aot, 18G7, be repealed, and In plaoe thereof that a Maori Projection Bill be Introduced. (Maihi Pekariho.
