TERRIBLE EXPLOSION.

Melbourkb, February 23, A terrible explosion occurred at noon to-day m Arbrasora's Military Gun* powder Factory, Job's Gully, Sandhurst. The building took fire and is still burning freely. Only one body has yet been recovered. Four others, including that of the proprietor's son, are visible inside the burning building, but it is utterly impracticable to attempt to recover them at present. .Several-"' persons have besides been seriously burned, and many narrow escapes are reported. The explosion, which was heard for miles around, originated m the room where powder is compressed by hydraulic power. The magazine, however, has not yet exploded.
