At Piaaencia a younp man named Bustagnio Cin»pi> became deranged after the second marriage of his father, and was confined m the lunatic asylum of San Bandilio A few years afterwards hs father died, bequeathing a large fortune to his widow and his eon. Pot tie latter also died, and his death and burial were duly attested by the superintendent of the asylum. Quite recently, however, a spurious Kuetagnio Campo presented himself to the widow, and claimed half the property. He turned out to be a diacharged lunatio named Santa Olalla, who had known the real heir m the asylum, and had learned from him all about his family affairs. But the extraordinary part of the story is that Olalla is declared to be Campo by the editor of one of the local papers, a man of great probity and Intelligence ; and by an architect of the city, Dju Ricente Jfaredes, who was one of the bosom frlendß of the deceased m their youth, and who fainted on seeing Olalla, exclaiming, " Yes, yes \ it U really my dear Euatagnlo !
