The raioutes of the las' meeting were read and confirmed. The Overseer's repart w*s read and considered. The Bum i;f £5 wa3 crJered to> be spent on the Downs lioad. The Gorge Road wa« ordered to be repaired near Booth's outtiag. The Over»«er was ordered to cill f:»r tender* to be lv by mxb meeting of the B>*rd for Btiugling 60 ohains of the Alford Forest T ainway Koad ; also to build a briu'ge over the water raoe near the Vtouat Somars Post Office. CORRESPONDENCE . Correspondence waa road as follows :— From the As -burton County Council, aaking if the Board wouid recommend that >ir Cooper sell do« coilars the same a* last year. Mr Cooper having no objection the reoommandation was made, from the tame sating that the Council would deh ay the expense of ereo ing ft bridge over the water rpce In front of the Mount riomers Poat < .;ffioe, on oondition thnt the B-ard gave the material. It was roßo' ved to give the necessary timber, and the Overseer was ordered $o get the> brLge built a» soon as possible. From Mr D Syme, asking that Mr A. W. Wright, calling <hu Board's attention to the bad Btate of the Gorge Koad ne^r Bioth's cutting. The necessary repairs wore ordered to be done at once. Prom the anine offering to pay £6 3s 6d as his Bhare of cost of repairing the Coal Pit Koad . In was resolved to aocept tha amount. MOUNT SOMEBB TRAMWAY. The Chairman stated that he had on behalf of tha Mount Sotnera Road. Board Mgi.ed the petition for the Mount Somew Tramway. The action of the Chairman was approved of.— On the motion of Mr MoFarkne it was resolved that the members of the Road Boacd firm a Commit* cc to wntoh the inturHsta of the ratepnyora m oonneotion with the Mount Sowers Tramway
EETIRIKG MEMBERS, On the motijQ of Mr Jiickon the mem> bers drew Jots who should retire at the coming election, and it was deoided that Messrs McFarlune and Harrison retire the first year, and Messrs Walker and Edson the second year.
