+■ The Main School was examined by Inspector L. B. Wood on January 5 . The following is the Bubstance of the general report : The results of the examination are on the whole very fair. Infants, Standards I. and ll.— ln these classes most of the subjects have been well taught, the reading especially presenting some very ! good qualities. Standards 111. , IV., V. , [ and Vl.— The puplla In Standards IV. ! and V.t are well prepared for the work expected of them. Marked weakness io grammar and arithmetic caused the rate of failure m Standard 111. to be much higher than it tronld otherwise have been. Standard VI. made bat a moderate appearance. The order and attention of the pupils were good. L. B, Wood, M.A. Staff : Mr A. Oookaon ; Mistress, Mrs Williamson. Roll number, 70 ; presented In Stan* dards, 52 ; excepted and absent, 3. Standard. Presented. Failed. Passed.

His report on the same is as follows : — This small school has passed a very good examination. The answering m nearly all the snbjeots was accurate and intelligent.
