ANTIMONY AND PHOTOGRAPHY.
The following interesting paragraph is from to-day's Cnrislohurch Press:— Antimocy, it Jwaa asserted m the course of the Hall trial* onuld not be used m the preparation of photographlo negatives Messrs R. W. Meera and Co, of the Excelsior Studio, Colombo street, have been engaged m a series of experiments with aDtimony, the result of whioh proves most conclusively that the reverse is the case, as they have recently finished an experimental picture built up with tbi« mineral. The negative bears a reddish tinge, but very beautiful contrasts are obtained, and the clearneae of the lines and the definition are very marked features m the negative which go a long way m the printing process. A photograph has also been printed from the negative and finished, aud while ihe subjeot may not ba the best that could have beeu selected for an experiment, tho result obtained ia quite sufficient to prove that antimony can be ussd with success;
