The Daily Nezvs publishes a statement to the effect that the Imperial Government has apprehensions of war between France and Germany being imminent, and it is reported that Germany will shortly demand from France an explanation of her massing troops on the frontier.

The statement published by the Daily News that the Imperial Government had an apprehension of war between France and Germany being imminent is generally discredited.
