During an interval, Mr Dugald Macfarlane, Chairman of the School Com mittet). distributed the school priz s, with a few well-chosen remarks. The following boys and girla were the prizetakers : —
Upper U^ourth Stnn-lnrd — Mary Armfetrong and Sarah l^rown, equal.
Lower Fi-urth standard—^nne Brown, 1 ; Owen Bueohler, 2.
Third Standard — '"Srnce Morgan, 1 ; no second prize awarded.
Seco id Standard — Margaret Brown, 1 ; Elizabeth Jone 3 , 2

Upt er Infants — Annie Patton and Hugh Htirvey, equal for first pr'ze ; t aroline Brown, 2. Lower Infanta — John Murray, Be tie Jones, equfil. Special Prize — S 'win/? : Emily Hix, Agnes Carloton. Master's Prize — Baitha H>od. Mistress's Priz^ — Jane Jones. Two pr zes for the most popular girl and boy respective y wero won with inuoh applause from the school children, by Bertha Hood und Owen Hufchler. ;ho sports were concluded at 7 p m. S 0.1 a(t.ir tha c'liJdreu and parenfs gathered' m the schoolroorr, where a very nice ent'-itm'ninent of songs nnd readings was provided. Mr VV. H. Kneen's song 'cih-er Rhino," readings by Alißß Stewart, two ttoro by Mr Macfarlane, and a fow songs and readiDga by school childran, were very interesting, and kept tho audience delighted. A ball brought th day's amusement to a close There wcra not so many dancers as we should have liked to have seen; never the!o>s, vigorous dancing wa9 kept up till 1.30 a.m., when the musician struck, and the company dispersed.
