DR RUSSEL'S CASES
Christchuroh, January 15. Dr Russell, Mary Bowern, and Isabella Wilson wore committed for trial to-day, on « charge of proouring the miscarriage of Annie Oonnoliy. Robert J. iVilßon, acsuaed with them, was discharged, thu magistrate holdi that there was no evidence to connect him with the owe. The evidenoo was to the offeot that Oonnolly, who Is 17 years old, waa servant at Mrs Bowern'u, whose brother (Wilson) beoama intitnata W'th h«*r m September, 1885. In January. 1886, the female accused persuaded her to go to Df KuaseU, who prooured her miscarriage. Ihe benoh refused bail for Russell, but admitted the womou to ball, m two sureties of £250 each. Joseph Bowern, Mrs Bowern's husband, aud her father became sureties.
