MELBOURNE WOOL SALES.
Melbourne, January 12. Goldsbrough and Co. held their usual weekly sale this afternoon, when 3600 bales were offered, the sales for the week being 3000 bales. Greasy wool sold up to iod ; scoured, i7^d ; washed, i4d. There was a strong demand and excellent competition, especially for light crossbreds. Good merinos and shafty scoured pieces have advanced from a halfpenny to a penny since last telegram.
