T e change that is fast taking place la the view wi*h which the Scotch Presbyterian clergy regard Sunday observance is strikingly shown by the remarks made by the Rev Principal Cunningham at a harve-t. festival atOnleff Parish Ohnrchon Sunday October 17th- He said that his psrishto* nars were in great measure to blame for the present disastrous harvest On a recent Sunday when all tbe crops were in a fit state to be gathered in, the farmers and their servants were either In church or in bad when they should have been in the Gelds. Tbe country would suffer in almost every respect on account of the bad harves’. All this was caused by the ton rigid and pnritanosl observance of the Sunday In question. In conclusion, the reverend gentleman said that the late disastrous seasons would work good in the ai d. They were on the verge of a revolut on both in regard to the land laws and agriculture In general. Everything fp connection with agriculture must be greatly changed, and a season like the pteeent would gveatly hasten that day*
