The pnpi'x p esa ted in the Standards have acquitted themselves well. The arithmo’io was very good. The writing and rpellinv were above ’he average. The reading, with few exceptions, was good and fairly intelligent, while the geography and other subjects, such «a map drawing, history, etc, rh >w fair average ability. The children w*re very neat in their appearance tnt orderly; their general bearing wis independent, with an absence of boldness rarely met with now a-days In schools. ‘ihe order and discipline were all that c-old be desired. Indeed, the t >ae of the school throughout wss indicative of the capacity and fitness of the teacher f >r the responsible position which he occupies. Whil t congratulating the Rkv F« h*r Chas’aga n and hia teachers on the efficiency of the children attending the school, i secular knowledge, we moat not forget to compliment the Rev Father on the excellent religions training the pupils, one and all, gave evidence of.
