Otago’s second innings commenced at 12.15, Spoffo th atid Garett taking their places in the field Bowling was entrusted to Evans and Spoff itth. The very first ball proved fa f al to Drabble, who was caught at mid-on by Bince off Evans. At 2 5 Garrett supplanted tie demon and wirh the score at 32 Wal s was caught at mid on by Palmer o3E Garret', after contributing a moat useful 23 Kett, the incomer, scored freely causing a double change of bowling, Palmer and Trumble going on. With the score at 54, after contributing 24, Kite was bowled by Trumble. With the score at 61 fr 5 wickets an adjournment for lunch was made. Auckland, November 22 At a meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association a letter was received fr m Mr Ollivier, agent for the Australians, asking for a further concession for the team. It was resolved in the event of Au-kland’a share of the profits exceeding £B9 that the Australians take the excess, and the local Association pay for the ground. In regard io the visit of the Wellington team at Easter it was agreed to play a match, but to ask them to come at au earlier date if possible. Wellington, November 22.
At a meeting of the Cricket Asaociaion this evening it was decided to play 22 against the Australians instead of 18, and a selection will probably be made tomorrow.
