CORN EXCHANGE.

The following Is the Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday, the 19th November: — The holiday week (during which business in the grain trade was entirely suspended) briiii* over, trade has reverted back to its hand-to-mouth state. The weather has been all that could be desired, and accounts from the country districts are of the most promising description, feed being abundant and the cornfields all that coaid be desired ; Wheat is being steadily but slowly forwarded on to the consuming districts, and stocks are getting gradually lower in the absence of any supplies from the country districts. Pearl is most sought after for local requirements, and readily commands 4s fid. Tuscan and Hunters has not such firm enquiry at 4s 6d. Shrivelled and second quality is taken up at 4s 2d to 4s 4d, and chicken wheat is still scarce at 3s 8d to 3s lid. Oats meet with »a exceedingly weak demand, and, as anticipated, prices have given way. Milling r re not over plentiful at 2s 3d, but buyers are scarce. Short brig t feed are dull at 2s Id to 2s 2d, and Tartars and Danish are very flat at Is lOd to 2s Barley is again quiet, and the prices ruling during the past weeks are scarcely maintained. Prime malting running fiom 2s fid to 2i lOd, and feed from 2s 2d to 2s 4d. Beans and Peas have no business to note. Grass Seeds.—The season being past, there are but few Biles to record, and prices are weak at last quotations. Potdtoos are unsaleable, and a few growers have been compelled to ship to t-ydney op their own account, and it is entirely problematical whether they cover the cost; holders however, generally refuse to execute local orders at less than 20 1 per ton at country stat ons. Dairy Produce has little outside enquiry, and the local demand is very slight. Prices are not firm at last quotations, viz , 7d for batter and 5Jd to 6d for cheese.
