OVERSTOCKED. Large quantities of. New Zealand and River Plate frozen mutton are now in store. THE INDO-COLONIAL EXHIBITION. London. N vemher 14. The Commissioners of the late Exhibition intend to present Sir P. C. Owen with a service of plate, in recognition of his services to the Colonial Exhibition. The Fisheries and Health Exhibitions, it is announced, show each a small surplus, and the Inventions a deficit. The Colonial Exhibition has produced a surplus which is variously estimated at from ,£70,000 to £50,000, The Prince has invited the mayors of the United Kingdom to co-operate in providing funds for the Imperial Institute. An official statement published in reference to the Colonial and Indian Exhibition has announced that no claims will be made on the guarantors. THE RECIDIVISTES. M. Freycinet intends to ask for a vote for a penitentiary on the Island of Gleron, in the Bay of Biscay, where the recidivistes may be prepated for colonial life. Paris November 14. The departure of recidivistes to New Caledonia and the Isle of Pines has been postponed. SIR GRAHAM BERRY AND THE “THUNDERER.” , London, November 15. Sir Graham Berry h?s written a letter to the Times , replying to that ot Friday, in which he denies that he has, as alleged, claimed that Australia should have a voice in the foreign politicy of the Empire. He cominued that colonial opinion is still unripe on the question of Imperial Federation. ILLNESS OF EARL DUFFERIN. There is now a floating population at Teetulpa of fully five thousand diggers. It is stated that one parly altogether netted fourteen hundred pounds, and another four hundred. The field has considerably extended during the past few days.
