The Shaw-Llllywhite team of English cricketers commenced a match to-day against eleven of Victoria, which consisted of the following players :—B -vle, El wards. Horan, Hou-ton, Lewii, Mdwinter, Methane, Phillips. Linmok, Trott and Worrall, The attendince was good, an excellent wicket had been pitched, and the ground was in first rate order The home teanr went In fitst, and when stumps were d awn had made 201 runs for the loss of four wickets, Houston (bowled, 68), Me -ihano (not out, 63), and Horan (not out, 46), being the highest scoters.
