MORE ABOUT THE SAURIAN.
An “ Onehunga Resident ” fnrniehea to the New Zealand Herald another contribution to the “saurian" controversy. He states that soma time ago he waa pulling down the Manakau, in channel, on the ebb tide, when he saw near the edge on the bank an anphibiooa animal, resembling an alligator. The tide was running out strongly at the time, and on noticing it when he passed down, he endeavoured to pull back t j examine It more closely, when it disappeared. He is positive it wss not a seal, or anything cf that sort, as it had scales. He never said anything about the matter at the time, as he thought he would only be laughed at for his pains, but seeing the “ saurian ” narratives in the papers led him to state what had happened with his cwn persona) experience.
