The Supreme Court was occupied all day in the trial of a civil action in which £SOO damages were sought by a lad named James O’Su’livan from hia employers, Hale, Throp, and Co., twine manufacturers. The plaintiff had lost the fingers of his right hand, which was crushed in one of the machines through the negligence of another of Hale, Throp, and Go’s workmen.
