Tor yesterday's market there was yarded • small entry of fat sheep, a pretty good somber of store sheep, a moderate entry of fat aattle, and a large number of store eattle. The attendance of buyers for fat •took {was a good one, but graziers and formers were not very numerous. The fat cattle were of pretty good quality throughout, soma very heavy bullocks being offered, the demand was fairly good, and values were If anything slightly better. Steers sold at from £6 6a to £ll 16s; bailers and fat cows from £5 15s to £8 Us 6d, being from 22s to 24a per 1001 b as to quality. The large number of store eattle did not meet with a very good Inquiry, with the exception of wellgrown steers and heifers, which again sold very wsQJ Three-year-old steers fetched £6 and £5 Be j two-year-olds, £3 5s to £3los; heifers, from £2 16 to £3 15s. Young eattle from 25s to 35a The demand for dairy stock was not at all good. .Very low values were rnllog. The supply of fat sheep was not large ; quality not, on the whole, good. The short supply hardened values a little, vis, about Is per head. Crossbred wethers sold at from 16s to 18a for prime, medium weights 11s 9d to 13s 8d; merino wethers from 8s 6d, to 13s 6d, and as high as 16s 9i ; crossbred ewes at from 9s to 12s per bead ; and from 24d to 2|d per lb was about ruling prices. TUe store sheep on offer were principally young, an odd line of ewes and lambs now and again. The demand was hardly bo good as of late. Hoggets sold at from 8s 8d to 9s 6d, ditto thorn at 5s sd, ewes and lambs at 7s 3d. A small entry of fat lambs sold at from 6s 9d to 13s 6d per head.
