News from the Norihern Te-ritwy ■fates that at the Circuit Court, held at Palmerston last week Wright Woodward Heath, Manager of the Daly Plantation Company’s estate, on the-Daly River, was charged with the murder of Donald McKinnon on the 31a' August. He had shot McKinnon dead with a revolver, and ‘ as found guhty of manslaughter, with a Strong recommendation to mercy on account of the great provocation he had >s:eived, McKinnon having accomplished the dishonor of Heath’s wife, who was a woman, of coca'derab’e personal at’ractlons. He was seutorced to ten years’ penal Betvitnde.
