A review of the Auckland Volunteer forces took place this afternoon in the Domain, Oolonel Whitmore reviewing and inspecting the troops He congratulated the Volunteers on their marked improvement in drill and steadiness, and stated it was intended to enforce fines against every absentee A thousand Volunteers were under arms. Nspibk, September 25. Mr Matthew Burnett has concluded s most successful week’s mission; 600 pledges have been taken. He left to-day for Gisborne. Blenbxiu, September 25 At a meeting of the M»rlborou ;h stock owners, held to day, it was resolved to form a Rabbit Board under the amending Act of last session, the rabbit district to include runs only in the Awatere, Omaka and Wairan road districts. A Committee was appointed to draw op a petition si d take other steps in accordance with the Act.'
