.Attempted Suicide. Auckland, September 24 An old man named Archibald Fmith, who, about two weeks ago, attempted to cut his throat, made another unsuccessful endeavor to ct mmit suicide last night at the Governor Brown Hotel by swallowing a quantity of vermlukiller in a glass of beer. He was removed to the hospital. He stated that he hasia cousin who is a wealthy solicitor in Queensland, but he is tired of his life and mad with grief. Xlie Premier’s Movement Dunedin, September 24. The Premier returns to Wellington at t'ie end of next week to attend a full meeting of the cabinet to be held early in October.
