Auckland, September 9. A s meeting of the Auckland Rugby Union to-night, the following resolution# •wore unanimously carried re tha embrogiio over the Auckland aod Wellington match: ««m That any. bonus promised to the Wellington football team be at once forwarded to them (£2O voted). (2) That •a the Wellington team, when in Auckland, did not question the ruling of the Auckland umpire, and freely acknowledged that they had lost the match, this Union fails to understand why the Wellington team should have aiaited until they reached Wellington before they dis covered they had reason to find fault with the Auckland umpire; seeing that the umpires have no p war to interfere m the game without the concurrence of the referee, anything that required to be said should have been said in Auckland, when the statement’ could have been at once met and confuted. (3) The resn't, then, of the 4 searching enquiry’ and the rajort of the three (Wellington) gentlemen, referred to In the resolutions of the Woffington Bugby Union, will be a matter of entire Indifference to this Union. (4) That t -, is Union insists, in a spirit of fair play to their umpire and to the referee chosen by both teams (who is also blamed by implication), on having an emplo apology for the gratuitous insalt offered to these gentlemen. (5) That until snob apology is made, this Union, in justice to itself, will decline to allow any matches ‘to be played with representatives of the Wellington Union. (6) That a copy of the above resolutions be forwarded the several Rugby Unions of the co’ony.
