The Bank rate of discount is per cent, and the market rate 2%._ Colonial breadsluffs —Adelaide flour, ex store, per aSolbs,, 25s 6d; New Zealand wheat, ex store, per 4961b5, 28s to 35s 6d, according to grade. Tallow—Australian has declined 6d per.cwt; beef, of fair average quality, is worth 23s 6d per cwtmutton, ditto, a6s.
New Zealand frozen mutton is slightly lower, 4% to per lb being obtained in the Smithfield market.
Copra—Best Sydney sundried in quoted at .£l4 10s per ton. Leather —Best Australian, xod per lb, a decline of The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,820,000 quarters, or 60,000 quarters more than last we :k.
Hops—The bop crop is considered very satisfactory, and a good yield is expected in both quality and quantity.
Harvest operations are progressing rapidly in England, but the wheat crop is expected to be below the average.
