RUSSIAN INTRIGUE Deposition of Prince Alexander. [rKDTJCR’s TKLKQKAMS — COPYRIGHT. ] Constantinople, August 22. Prince Alexander of Bulgaria was Uken prisoner yesterday at Widden while holding arcview of his troops. His deposition has since been proclaimed, and a temporary Government formed by M. M. Yarkoff and Karoveloff (presiding of the Council of Ministers) who, had been authorised to arrest and depose him. When seized the Prince resigned quickly and without resistance. No bloodshed occurred. He has since been escorted out of the country. The event created a great sensation in Sophia, the Bulgarian capital, and masses of people have on their bended knees publicly implored the goodwill of the Czar of Russia. The Russian Agent at Sophia has assured the populace of the good feeling of His Majesty towards Bulgaria.
