C.isls Approaching. [rbuteb’s telegrams -copraxonx 1 London, August 12

An interview has taken place between Sir Graham Berry and Hon E. Stanhope, Secretary of State for the Colonies regarding the New Hebrides. Sir G. Berry urged the Imperial Government should, without delay, elicit from the French Government a date which the French forces would be withdraw. The Hon E, Stanhope expressed concurrence with Sir Graham’s contention and stated he believed France would shortly be obliged to come to a settlement of the New Hebrides question.
