THE GREAT BARRIER MURDER.

Pursuit of Suspects.

Auckland, July 27. The pursuit of the two men supposed to be Csffrey and Penn continues. Eight policemen on foot disguised and two newspaper reporters mounted, are securing the Waitaketei Ranges but have never sighted the men. Yesterday the police reached a settler’s house just an hour and a ha’f after the suspects but the trace was again lost. From their suspicious movements and positive identification by settlers the police are confident these are the murderers.
