RANGITATA ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Bangitata Road Board was held on Monday, when all the members were present. BOUNDABIES The Chairman informed the Board that the Committee of the Oonnty Council bad agreed to the boundaries proposed by the Board, and had declined to grant the request of ratepayers in the northern portion of the district, for a new Road District as proposed. COBBESPONDEKCE. Correspondence was read and considered from the Treraury and Survey Offices, and also from the Upper Ashburton Road Board declining to join in opening another toad across the Hinds BO ADS. It was resolved that the Chief Savayor b» requested to lay off road along RS. 33163- , a t The Chairman was authorised to communicate with the Chief Surveyor with regard to exchange of reads near Anama. PAYMENTS. Accounts amounting to £8 13s 6i were pasted for payment. TENPKES. r- The following tenders were accepted : - T.twmore cutting, T. Patterson, £l3 12 1 Gl; Metalling, about 80 chains, D. Kell h n, Is yer yard. FOB M 4XIO Y It was resolved that tenders sheu'd be called for next meeting for 40 chains of formation from Hinds to Mount S ni’ra road near Anama, to connect with toad under Gawler Dowds. BANGITATA-MAYFIELD koad. STMess-B Burgess and Doyle were directed to report upon this road impounding It was resolved to request the poundkeepers to Impound all stock found straying on the roads within the district. BETIBIPO MEMBEBS.
It vu determined by lot that the two members of the Board to retire next May would be Messrs Burgess and Strachey. RATEPAYERS BOLL,
Various altcra'.iom were made on the ratepayers’ roll, and the Board adjourned. ________
