Conservative candidates have been returned unopposed tor three of the Liverpool seats, Baron de Worms being one of the number. „ Progress of the Elections. Michael Davitt, Home Ruler, announces himself a candidate in opposition to the Marquis of Hartington. Manifesto by Mr Gladstone. Mr Gladstone issued an appeal tp t]ie London electors, calling upon them to support such candidates as are pledged to redrqss the injustice from which Ireland suffers, and thus consolidate a hearty union between that country and England, which will add immortal strength to the British & Empire.
London, July 1. The nomination of candidates for new Parliament commenced to-day, when 256 members were elected without opposition. The returns give the following party divisions of the elected —55 supporters of Mr Gladstone, 46 Unionists, 96 Conservatives, and 68 Parnellites, _
