The Otago Harbor Hoard has passed a resolution that the Board would gladly J un with that of Wellington in any effort to have an enquiry held into the dealings of the Government with the Harber Boards' endowments, as they have also received injustice at the hands of the Government.

It Is understood the corporation ha* offered Mr Irwia £llOO as compensation for death of his wife, and damage done by the recent blasting accident ; £2OOO {• allied. In Miss Vivian’s case £IOO M offered and £ CO asked.
The Ci*y Council has settled all compensation claims arising ou.t of the Dowling street rftcidont except those of }Tr Trwin, who claims £2OOO, and Mias V;v:3n, who claimed £SOO. These are expected to bo settled without recourse to aw.
